Jennifer Robinson, one of Assange’s lawyers, spoke before Australian parliament today. In a press statement afterwards, she explained she is very concerned about Julian’s health and that he is still on Belmarsh Prison’s hospital ward. She also stated that he suffered permanent damage during his stay at the Ecuadorian embassy in London.
She also said, “Julian Assange is an Australian citizen and publisher facing 175 years in prison. This is a dangerous precedent for all of the media and should be of grave concern for all Australians.”
About 30 MPs and Senators met with her to hear her statement.
