Poem for Assange

Sometimes I get so frustrated in this fight

But then I remember your plight

I think about you all alone, in a room with no view

Being punished for telling what is true

I think about your children, how it’s not fair to them

How without your supporters, your chances are slim

I think about free speech, and the human rights abuse

And I realize I have to fight, giving up is no use

You deserve to be free Assange and we have to fight

You fought for us and it’s only right

I won’t stop I won’t quit because that’s just not me

So that someday I can say you are free….
