A poem of freedom for Assange

I’ve watched as they try to destroy what is you and fought for your release,

You stand alone against the powerful, will they ever cease?

To end your persecution, allow justice to proceed,

Give your children what they deserve and need?

They say the truth will set you free but it’s only made them hate

A man of integrity and courage, there is no debate

Free Assange cried out in the crowds who gather to fight your duress

We fight for your freedom, free speech and free press

Will they ever hear our pleas to end this atrocity

Or will justice never be served,  only agony?

I will fight for you until my last breath, you will see

Until we can say Assange is finally free
