Society’s Fall and the World Today

Something’s wrong with the world today. People have lost their empathy for one another. As technology has grown, morals and ethics have declined as well as respect for each other.  How did this happen? When did it begin?

My theory starts in the 60’s and 70’s.  When jobs stopped paying enough for just the father to work and the mother to stay at home and take care of the house and children.  As we needed more money to supply our needs, the mother left home for a career leaving her youngsters with child care.  Children stopped getting the love and nurturing they needed because Mom and Dad were both tired from a long day at the job where they slaved away just to make ends meet.

Suddenly, their were more broken homes caused by divorce because Mom and Dad were always fighting. Moms didn’t feel appreciated and neither did Dads.  It was easier to stay at home and relax on Sunday and so church services no longer seemed a necessity.  Our offspring were forced to turn to liberal schooling for part of their upbringing. Then they removed prayer from school.

Broken homes meant children didn’t have the security they once had or the boundaries.  Rebellion, alcohol and drugs became a vice. Kids were being bounced back and forth between parents who generally pitted them against the opposite parent.  Chaos ensued.

In as early as the 1920’s, organizations and authors began arguing against corporal punishment (spanking) for children. By the 70’s, teachers were no longer allowed to physically punish out of hand students. Soon, many liberal idealists began advocating for parents to be unable to spank. This resulted in laws being passed that made it illegal to a certain extent. Some states passed laws allowing the officers to decide if a parent had went overboard and committed child abuse. The sudden lack of discipline and the fear of hurting a child began to show it’s own effects in society.

Then came video games.  People loved the consoles adults and kids alike.  Some parents began using them as child care. They kept their kids busy while they worked or relaxed around the home.  More and more time was invested into these beloved games.  If that were not enough, along came the internet in the 90’s with social media.

Social media began taking over outside social activities. Isn’t it nice to not have to face people?  Even people with ant-social behavior, extreme shyness and people with low self esteem found they could approach people online that they would normally avoid in public.  Yes, people found it to be an amazing tool.  The problem with social media is the dehumanizing of one another. You can say what you want online, be who you want to be and no one will ever notice the difference. You can attack people with different views than you with no repercussions.

By dehumanizing each other and not facing one another, respect for the individual was lost.  By taking away discipline and responsibility for one’s own actions a new millenium of adults began to be seen.  These young adults feel the world owes them something and every thing should be given them, rather than earned.  Liberal schooling from kindergarten through college has taught these kids they deserve things. It has taught them to be socialists. It has inevitably made these youngsters permanently children. They expect their wishes to be granted and when they are not, they throw temper tantrums. They have no self-esteem, know no boundaries, and have no respect for anyone most of all themselves.  

When a young person breaks the law, they are unable to understand that there are consequences to their actions.  Responsibility has never been taught to them.  Crime is running rampant because consideration for other’s feelings has never even entered their minds. Sympathy, empathy and compassion are just words to these individuals.  These kids feel hollow, alone and empty.

Suicide has become a norm with today’s society. Murder and drugs are even more common.  Alcohol and opioids run rampant as a temporary “fix” for their pain.  “Cutting” is another way for these kids to feel control of their lives.

What is the answer you might ask?  Our society has become Godless, leaving a hole in every person needing filled.  First we must restore prayer, discipline and good homes.  This is something only the parents can do. Schools cannot raise your children anymore.  Parents need to take the initiative to spend more time with their kids.  The government is not the answer either.  The only people we can blame is ourselves for letting this happen.  Only we can be examples to future generations and learn from our mistakes and begin to fix them in our homes.

There is not an easy answer for what we have created.  Our world today is paying the consequences of what we have allowed.  The only answer I have for you is Jesus. Pray, confess your sins, and talk to your children about God.  However, we may be too late…

My Faith in Christ: A Testimony

I love you Jesus My Lord

  I was saved when I was seven years old.  I remember that day in Mrs. Hand’s front room better than I can most things at that age.  Mainly because it was one of the most important days in my life.  I knew I needed Jesus because I was a pretty naughty girl as far as kids go.  Really I was.  Pretty much all the way through to my freshmen year.  My poor parents lived through it.

Emotionally, as far as teenagers go, I was a big mess my freshman year.  I was starving myself on a regular basis because I thought I was fat.  (Trust me at 5’7″, 125 lbs., I was not fat).  I started fights with my mom to take out all the bad stuff at school that was going.  I didn’t fit in with anybody and I was desperate to be accepted and loved.  Somehow, that day I accepted Jesus had fallen in the background.

I honestly can’t tell you why I started going back to church except I remember church made me feel good again.  In January of that year, I made a big decision and got baptized.  It was maybe the second most important day of my life.  Jesus became my friend, but I really didn’t understand God’s love for me until I was in my thirties.

After my divorce, my subconcious mind kept telling me I wasn’t good enough anymore for God.  He would never forgive me for what I had done.  I still believed I would go to Heaven, but I knew I would hang my head in shame.  It wasn’t God who could’t forgive me though.  It was myself.

Then one day, desperate for the love I could never find in a man I ran across a Bible passage.  I mean literally, my Bible opened to that passage.  The Holy Spirit whispered quietly that night that HE wanted me to understand that the passage was my own if I wanted it. To this day, my Bible says at the top of that passage, “God’s wedding proposal.”

Isaiah 54:4-8 “Fear not; for thou shalt not be ashamed: neither shalt thou be confounded: for thou shalt not be put to shame; for thou shalt forget the shame of thy youth and shalt not remember thy reproach or thy widowhood any more.

For thy Maker is thine husband; The Lord of Hosts is His name: and thy Redeemer the Holy One of Israel: The God of the whole earth shall He be called.

For the Lord hath called thee as a woman forsaken and grieved in spirit, and a wife of youth, when thou wast refused, saith thy God.

For a small moment have I forsaken thee: but with great mercies will I gather thee.

In a little wrath I hid my face from thee for a moment; but with everlasting kindness will I have mercy on thee, saith the Lord thy Redeemer.”

Sometimes, I forget as I walk this lonely earth who my true Husband is.  I go seeking love from a mere man rather than going to Jesus and asking for it.  I still find this passage amazing as it relates to my life.  Father forgive me for forgetting who I am married to!

God loves us so much, He will do things for us that we cannot even comprehend and yet every day we walk away.  Let us follow Him and love Him more and more each day rather than getting lost in the world!

God’s Promises to the Obedient

Ever wonder what God promises those who follow Him? Have you ever wondered where in the Bible it promises prosperity? I am going to share those verses with you.

Deuteronomy 28

If you fully obey the LORD your God and carefully follow all his commands I give you today, the LORD your God will set you high above all the nations on earth. All these blessings will come on you and accompany you if you obey the LORD your God: You will be blessed in the city and blessed in the country. The fruit of your womb will be blessed, and the crops of your land and the young of your livestock—the calves of your herds and the lambs of your flocks. Your basket and your kneading trough will be blessed. You will be blessed when you come in and blessed when you go out. The LORD will grant that the enemies who rise up against you will be defeated before you. They will come at you from one direction but flee from you in seven. The LORD will send a blessing on your barns and on everything you put your hand to. The LORD your God will bless you in the land he is giving you.

Let’s think about God’s commandments. I think they can be summed up by Jesus Himself. Jesus was asked what the most important commandments were and He answered,

Luke 10:He answered: “‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength and with all your mind’; and, ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.'”

I believe He gave us these two commandments because if we follow both of them the rest of obedience just sort of falls in place. Let me explain. If you truly love God you will do whatever you can to please Him. This means reading the Word of God, praying as much as you can and following the second command. Loving your neighbor, or your enemy, or you family involves never wanting to hurt them. If you put others concerns first, sin takes the back burner. In my experience, sin is often caused by us being selfish and only thinking of ourselves. My Sunday School teacher in high school once told us that if we look at sin, we find that the center of it is I. If we think to ourselves, how will this affect so and so, it will change how we deal with others and help prevent us from sinning.

So by following these two commandments we are being obedient. Of course, there will be times when we fail and we sin but God is faithful and just to forgive us for that.

By being obedient, God promised us prosperity in Deuteronomy chapter 28. He promised to bless us in so many ways. He promises to bless our Children and the work of our hands. He promises to answer our prayers. He promises to always be there for us.

Psalm 37:25 gives us this promise. “I have been young but now am old and have never seen the righteous forsaken or their children begging for bread.”

God promises that by being obedient, we will never be forsaken and never starve to death. He also promises that by believing in Jesus as our Savior we will have eternal life. God is so good to us who love him. Isn’t God an amazing and wonderful God?

Being Content in a “I Want it Now” World

In today’s society, it is easy to fall into the envy and greed all around us. It seems everyone is wanting more and more and joy is lost in the process.  This is not what God intended for us as Christians. Worldly riches do not mean anything to Him.  In fact, Jesus Himself spoke on this in Matthew 6:24 “No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and riches.” Also in Luke, Luke 16:13
No servant can serve two masters. Either he will hate the one and love the other, or he will be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve both God and money.”

Wait, you say, shouldn’t we want to succeed. Of course we should, but we should always put God before what we desire. If we depend on Him, He will help us to succeed.  Even after God has blessed us we are danger however of forgetting to put Him first as it is written in I Timothy 6:9 “But they that will be rich fall into temptation and a snare, and into many foolish and hurtful lusts, which drown men in destruction and perdition.”

So what are we to do?  Everyone wants nice things right?

 Hebrews 13:5 Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have: for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee.

What this verse says speaks in so many ways to my heart. First it is saying do not even talk about the desire for wealth and riches.  Covetousness literally means: inordinately or wrongly desirous of wealth or possessions; greed.  Then it goes on to say, to be happy with you have.  Remember, there are others who have less than you.  Being content is something people these days don’t understand. Contentment is rarely seen in today’s world. Most people have no clue what it even means to be content.

The definition of contentment is a state of satisfaction or in a state of peaceful happiness.  Today, we hustle and bustle around so much that this state is almost impossible to achieve. To actually sit back and look around you and say, “Hey my life is pretty good.” just isn’t in our vocabulary.

Contentment is really a state of mind.  Just like happiness and positive thoughts are. We have to train ourselves to be this way. Here are some suggestions to become content.

1. Every morning, say a prayer of thanksgiving to God for what you have.  Say the Lord’s prayer to start your day.
2. When envy or desire comes into your mind, pray.  If you ask God to show you how to be happy with what you have, He will.
3. Look at what you do have and praise God for it.
4. Read the Word of God. I have always found the Bible brings me peace which brings about a state of joy.
5. Always pray before meals in thanksgiving.
6. End your day thanking the Lord for it.

Remember attitude is everthing.  God commands us not to worry. Worry will eat up your happiness. In Matthew he clearly states, Matthew 6:33-34

Do Not Worry

25 “Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothes? 

26 Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they?

Philippians 4:12-13 says

12 I know what it is to be in need, and I know what it is to have plenty. I have learned the secret of being content in any and every situation, whether well fed or hungry, whether living in plenty or in want. 

13 I can do all this through him who gives me strength.

Here again in I Timothy 6:6-7

6 But godliness with contentment is great gain. 

7 For we brought nothing into the world, and we can take nothing out of it.

Psalm 37: 4

 Take delight in the LORD, and he will give you the desires of your heart.

There are so many verses I could add. The Lord wants you to be happy. He wants you to seek Him and put Him first. God is good all the time. We need to show him how thankful we are by being satisfied with what we have and look towards the riches in Christ Jesus on the other side.

ACA, ACHA and What Should Be Done About Health Care

The Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act was passed by Congress in 2010 and most of it came into effect on January 1 2014.  It was destined to fail from the beginning, with an amendment to charge those who did not have insurance yearly on their federal taxes.  In fact, it is nosediving as we speak and President Trump has over and over again told Congress to repeal and replace this disaster to no avail.

But this isn’t the point of this blog. In fact, what I would like to say really only involves the ACA because it is imploding. Our  GOP Congress has shown us in the past six months how truly worthless and lazy they are.  They have had 6 years to come up with a replacement bill, SIX YEARS.  For six years, they have nothing but complain and whine about the bill the Democrats passed.  Not that I am for the Democrats whose only agenda is to derail Trump. 

What has been done by Republicans is to show those of us who voted them in that they can’t even construct a bill or pass anything. They have the House, the Senate and the Presidency and they have accomplished nothing. What are these buffoons being paid for?  The only bill they have come up with shows these fools are controlled and owned by the Corporations who lobby for themselves.  The ACHA bill might as well be a love letter to the insurance companies and a dismissal letter to the American people.

So what should they do you ask? I will tell you.

1. Open state borders and remove the regulations that keep this from happening.  This would cause more competition and lower prices.
2. Put a cap on insurance prices and deregulate some of the FDA regulations.
3. Regulate the insurance companies paper work that cost doctors and medical facilities millions of dollars to fill out.
4. Open the drug business up to allow purchases from Canada.
5. We still need that pre-existing condition clause.
6.  Do not fund the replacement bill on the backs of those who don’t need insurance

I don’t think this is difficult. After all, these morons have had 6 years to figure this out. In that six years they obviously were too busy taking their multiple holidays and collecting their pay that was not earned to do anything constructive.  The only Congress person that I have seen with anything was Rand Paul and the GOP wouldn’t even consider his plan.

If Congress cannot come up with an answer to health care by the end of the year, it is time we consider replacing them. We don’t need representatives that do not work for We The People.  #DrainTheSwamp in 2018

No Charges For Julian Assange petition

No charges for wikileaks or Assange petition

We the People demand that you do not arrest or charge Julian Assange for espionage. He is a journalist who has realeased the truth which he received via individuals which leaked this information to WikiLeaks. We also demand that no charges are brought up against Wikileaks staff.
These trumped up charges are in violation of the First Amendment regarding free speech and free press. By arresting Julian, you are restricting our inalienable right stated in the Constitution.
By utilizing his rights and by disclosing the truth, Assange has exposed government corruption. The people of the US stand behind him in his efforts to reveal these crimes and we believe that any charges or an arrest would only be a false accusation against an innocent man.
We petition that you oversee this done.

This is the wording of the current White House Petition that needs 100K signatures by August 10th.  It only has 201 signatures. Can anyone tell me why no one is signing this petition? I am completely disgusted with the people who call themselves supporters but really just follow him.  They eat up what he publishes like starving dogs but won’t do anything to help him in his current position.

I have repeatedly sighted the reason to support him in my blogs and on my twitter feed and yet so many who claim to be behind him really are doing nothing for his plight.  My opinion is this, if you see wrong be done to an individual and do nothing to help them, you are as guilty as the person doing the wrong!

Every day Assange is in that Embassy is on our backs because people are afraid to fight the corruption. Julian has stood up and put on his boxing gloves against the criminal activities of governments but people cannot even sign a damn petition. The only real way, Julian will ever have freedom is if we can get the US government to drop charges or allegations against him. As long as they seek to expedite to America, he will never be a truly free man. He will always have to eyes in the back of his head.

This is not right people!

I want you to imagine being in his place. Accused of a crime he did not commit by a country who sought destroy Wikileaks and gain points with the US government like a child brown nosing their teacher.  Imagine knowing you are innocent of the crimes you are accused of.  Think about being extradited to a country that is known to waterboard terrorists.  This same country is referring to you as a “cyber terrorist”.  Julian did the only thing he could do. He sought political asylum.

Now, our hero Assange lives in a room no bigger than the average living room. 

Here is a picture of said room.  He has a single mattress he sleeps on.  Even prisoners get to go out in the exercise yards for good behavior but not Assange. The closest thing he gets is if he does a news conference off the balcony.

Sweden has dropped all allegations against our truth teller and yet, Britain holds fast to arresting if he ever steps foot outside the Embassy. For what you might ask? He missed his bail hearing or so they say.  Most would get a fine and be free, but not Julian. Why would they want to arrest him in reality? They also want to score brownie points with the most powerful government in the world by extraditing him.

The reasoning behind no extradition is simple. According to the NDAA in 2011, a person such as Assange could be held indefinitely without trial.  INDEFINITELY!  This means he could sit behind bars for the rest of his life for simply publishing the truth!  He did nothing wrong but let us know the horrors the United States government was committing. He didn’t leak the information himself. He didn’t hack it. He received it and published it and they want to bring him for a trial that may never even happen.

Would he be treated decently? I doubt it. Our government, especially the CIA is known for violation human rights on a regular basis.  Julian Assange deserves the nobel peace prize and medals, not to be insitutionalized very possibly on Gitmo.

So this is why I wrote the petition. This is why you should sign it. IMAGINE if it was you!

When and if you do sign this as a true America who believes in the truth, make sure to verify your signature in your email.  I know I appreciate every signature and I am sure he will too!

What Has President Trump Done Since Taking Office? Plenty

First I am going to share a meme that includes a great deal of the accomplishment since office and promises kept. There are a few things he is struggling with because the GOP isn’t willing to do what they promised but he has done an incredible amount for six months in office.

 

He is also working on getting a better deal from NAFTA and they have begun building the WALL in Texas.  He negotiated a cease fire with Russia’s Vladmir Putin and removed us from the Paris Climate Deal which was nothing but a redistribution of our wealth. He attended the G20 Summit and visited the Middle East including Israel and Saudi Arabia and just recently went to France and met with Macron.

President Trump inherited a mess, possibly the biggest in history and he has gotten nothing but hatred from the left and flack about Russia. It’s time the idiots on both sides realize that We The People are not going to let them derail the Trump train and that we are demanding the Swamp called DC be drained.

To our Congress men and women:

Know that We The People are taking our country back with or without you.  You decide which side you are on, the citizens or the globalists and socialists but we will vote at the polls and get rid of those who do nothing for this country. We are fed up and we are not putting up with the joke you have made the USA.

HIV, or the human immunodeficiency virus, has been estimated to have shown up in the 1940’s or

1950’s according to http://www.cnn.com/HEALTH/9802/03/earliest.aids/. The Aaron Diamond AIDS

research center in New York traced the virus back to a man in the Belgian Congo in 1959. HIV has been traced back to a chimpanzee in West Africa who had SIV or Simian Immunodeficiency Virus which morphed into what we know now.

HIV and AIDs had been around for quite awhile before it really became well known in the 1980’s. It

was then brought to the forefront by the death of many famous people including Freddie Mercury of

Queen. It was in the 80’s that many were finally educated as to what caused this disease to be

transmitted. By destroying CD4+T cells, HIV damages the crucial part of the body to fight diseases

and illnesses. In other words, HIV makes the immune system less effective. The virus multiplies in

your lymph nodes and spleen and slowly destroys the T Cells.

Most people have no signs or symptoms of the disease making it almost impossible to diagnose without a blood test. Some people within two weeks of getting the disease may have flu-like symptoms including fever and swollen glands. Later on in the disease, according to http://www.mayoclinic.com/health/hiv-aids/ds00005/dsection=symptoms, most will have swollen lymph nodes, diarrhea and weight loss. Not everyone who has HIV has it turn into AIDS however.

It was estimated in 2006 that 56,000 people contracted the virus. The CDC figures that over 1 million in the USA actually have either AIDS or HIV.

The easiest way to contract the disease or transmit it is as follows:

Not using a condom during sexual encounters especially with someone new. Multiple sex partners increase the risk of HIV Sharing needles or syringes for drug use Being born to an infected motherOther ways to contract the disease but are less likely:

• accidental needle stick at a doctor’s office or medical facility
• contact with an infected patient’s blood

If you are tested for HIV and it is positive your privacy and confidentiality are protected by law. If a person feels they are at risk for contracting the virus or feel they may have been exposed they should contact a doctor immediately.

What God Expects of You

Does God See Our Faults?

When we try our best to serve God and fall, does God see this? Of course he does, but He is a merciful Father and forgives us when we confess. He made us the way we are and he knows the difference between giving our best and getting by. Never think your best is not good enough for God.

I Samuel 16:7But the LORD said unto Samuel, Look not on his countenance, or on the height of his stature; because I have refused him: for the LORD seeth not as man seeth; for man looketh on the outward appearance, but the LORD looketh on the heart.

In this verse, it is suggested that God sees our hearts and not our failures. God knows when you are trying to please Him. He accepts us for what we can do and not for what we can’t. Believe it or not, GOD ACCEPTS YOU just the way you are. He loves you unconditionally. He doesn’t care if your hair is done just right or if you failed biology. He doesn’t care if you have acne or your nose is too big. God sees your heart.

Psalm 44:21 ²¹Shall not God search this out? for he knoweth the secrets of the heart.

Why would a merciful God not accept what we have?

2 Corinthians 9:Every man according as he purposeth in his heart, so let him give; not grudgingly, or of necessity: for God loveth a cheerful giver.

Of course, if you are going to give sparingly and not with your heart, God sees that too. My family hasn’t always had money to give to the poor, so instead my mother would crochet hats, mittens and scarves to give to the homeless. She gave what she could. She gave her time. God doesn’t want you to starve because you gave your whole check. God just wants your heart.
